Connect your WhatsApp Business API number
Link an official Meta WhatsApp Business number so conversations flow into your shared inbox.
CrossInbox uses the official Meta WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) — not an unofficial or modified app — so your account stays compliant and your messages are delivered reliably.
You need a phone number that is NOT already active on the regular WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app. Meta requires a fresh or migrated number for the API.
What you need before you start
- 1 A Meta Business account with WhatsApp added.
- 2 Your WhatsApp Business Account ID (WABA ID).
- 3 The Phone Number ID for the number you are connecting.
- 4 A permanent access token with WhatsApp permissions.
Connecting the number
- 1 Open My App from the sidebar and find the WhatsApp Business API card.
- 2 Click Connect and paste in your WABA ID, Phone Number ID, and access token.
- 3 We call Meta to confirm the number is real and read back its display name.
- 4 If the number is not yet verified, request a code and confirm it to finish.
- 5 Use Test settings on the WhatsApp card any time to confirm the connection is still healthy.
Meta charges per conversation and bills you directly — CrossInbox never marks that up. Make sure a payment method is set on your Meta account or outgoing messages will be rejected.
